A Restricted Possession and Acquisition Licence (RPAL) allows individuals to legally possess and acquire restricted-class firearms in accordance with Canadian firearms laws. While federal regulations currently limit new handgun purchases, restricted firearms are still available through eligible transfers and include certain restricted-class rifles, shotguns, and previously registered handguns where permitted under current regulations.
The Restricted course is typically scheduled the day after the Non-Restricted course, making it easy to complete both in one weekend.
